The repetition of "doorbell rang" on every page really gets my little one counting and laughing along. We've read it three times tonight already, and the cookie-making details are spot-on for snuggling up together.

My kid asked for it again before we even finished the first read, all because of that repeating "ding-dong" that builds so perfectly with every page turn. The repetitive rhythm makes it a great read-aloud that even my three-year-old can chime in on, and the cookie-counting lesson is a sneaky bonus.

The doorbell rings and rings in this one, and my kid actually giggles louder each time a new batch of friends shows up for those cookies. It’s such a simple, repetitive build that keeps their attention and teaches sharing without being preachy. We’ve read it three nights in a row.
