Victoria L. ★★★★★

My three-year-old has been asking for this one every single night since it arrived—the mischievous monkeys in Slobodkina's folk tale crack her up no matter how many times we read it. The hardcover is holding up great against all the page-turning, and the story's rhythm makes it easy for her to chime

Leo V. ★★★★★

My three-year-old asks for this one every single night now. The story about the peddler and those mischievous monkeys is so fun to read aloud, and the pacing keeps her totally hooked from start to finish.

Lucy B. ★★★★☆

The sturdy hardcover binding will survive many bedtime readings, and the classic monkey tale still makes my four-year-old giggle every single time. I just wish the illustrations were a bit larger for group storytime.
