My three-year-old gets genuinely absorbed trying to trace the flower's paths with her finger, and the freestanding base means I don't have to hold it steady for her. It's a simple puzzle, but it's already become her favorite quiet-time activity.
My 3-year-old will sit with this for 20 minutes straight, tracing the paths with the attached posts and giggling when she hits a dead end. The freestanding base is sturdy enough that it doesn't tip when she leans on it. Only wish it came in more colors, but that's a small thing.
The posts are a nice touch for guiding little fingers through the mazes. My daughter finds the different path options a good challenge for her reasoning skills, though I wish the base was a bit heavier to keep it steady on the table.
