The nighttime setting and gentle resolution really help with bedtime anxiety; my son asks for this one every night now. The story's rhythm makes it easy to read aloud, and the soft illustrations keep him engaged even after multiple readings.
My toddler loves the "I want my mommy!" refrain so much that he finishes the sentence before I can. The board book pages are sturdy enough for his enthusiastic page-turning, though I wish the illustrations were a tiny bit brighter.
