My 4-year-old asks for this one almost every night, and I don't mind rereading it because the collage-style illustrations are genuinely lovely. The hardcover feels sturdy enough to survive a toddler who isn't gentle with pages.

The hardcover has held up through countless bedtime rereads, which says a lot with a toddler. The illustrations are genuinely lovely, the kind you stop and actually look at instead of rushing through. My 3-year-old asks for it by name most nights now.

Bought this for my 4-year-old and the illustrations hold her attention way better than I expected. It's a hardcover too, so it's surviving the nightly rereads just fine.
