Learning fractions can be fun! Use these 8 different colored slices to construct a whole circle. Pieces fit on a ring to hold the circles together and can be stacked on top of one another. The 4" diam. circles are divided in 8 different fractions.
My daughter actually begged to practice fractions after we pulled these out—the colored slices clicking onto the ring made it feel like a puzzle instead of homework. Being able to stack the different circles on top of each other really helped her visualize how thirds compare to sixths.
The colored pieces are a nice visual aid for teaching halves and thirds, but the plastic feels a bit flimsy and the ring doesn't hold them very tightly. It works okay for basic practice, just not as sturdy as I'd hoped.
