My 4-year-old counts the owls onto the branch without realizing she's doing math, and the colors make it easy to sneak in sorting games too. The little branch holds all ten neatly, so cleanup isn't a fight.
The stacking owls are chunky enough for little hands, and my daughter happily matches each one to the number on the branch. We've been using it every afternoon and she's already counting to ten without help.
My 4-year-old actually asks to play with this, which never happens with learning toys. Matching the owls to the numbers on the branch has really helped her count past 3 without skipping, and the colors make it easy to sort too.
