Shoot for the stars…no…the planets with this beautifully illustrated 48 piece Melissa & DougⓇ Solar System Floor Puzzle! Children will learn the planet names as they put together these jumbo-size easy to manipulate pieces. Completed puzzle will form a giant color image of our solar system. The extra-thick cardboard pieces are durable enough that little hands can't tear them up easily. By moving the pieces around, children will develop better hand-eye coordination and problem solving skills. For children ages 3 years and older.

Our 6-year-old spent a whole rainy afternoon putting this together, and the planets are labeled clearly enough that she could read them herself. The pieces are thick and sturdy, so they survived being taken apart and reassembled a few times already.

My 4-year-old loves the jumbo-sized pieces, though I wish the box included a reference guide for the planet names since we had to look a few up online. The floor puzzle itself is sturdy and the solar system illustration kept him engaged for a good 20 minutes.
