The plastic eyes are sturdy enough that I don't worry about them coming off during play, and the puppet's mouth moves smoothly when my kid puts a hand inside. It's soft yet holds its shape well, so even a toddler can make it chomp around.
My three-year-old loves making this alligator chomp everything in sight—the plastic eyes stay put even after all that rough play, which is a relief. The fabric is soft enough for cuddling, yet the head and arm holes are easy to work for small hands.
