The Wood Table from Constructive Playthings is a freestanding table designed for playground and outdoor classroom settings. It has a natural finish with no sealant.
The kids have been using this table daily for our outdoor classroom, and it's held up great through rain and sun. I like that there's no sealant on the natural finish, so it feels safe for them to touch. The freestanding design makes it easy to move around the yard too.
It’s holding up well after a few weeks of heavy playground use, and the lack of sealant means it blends right in with the outdoor setting. The freestanding design is solid enough that it hasn’t budged even in windy weather, though I’d love a slightly smoother finish on the top for drawing.
We've had this table in the outdoor classroom for a few weeks now, and the natural unfinished top is perfect for letting kids paint and draw without worrying about ruining a finish. It's solid and sturdy, though I do wish it came with some kind of sealant so we don't have to worry about weather dama
