We used these to prep for a second-grade science project on metamorphosis, and the realistic details on the caterpillar and chrysalis stages made the lesson click instantly. The set is sturdy enough for little hands to pass around without any pieces breaking, which was a relief.

My kids were amazed at how detailed each stage is—the tiny eggs on the leaf look just like real ones. They've already started using them to act out the whole life cycle.
