The twist-up mechanism makes it so easy for my kid to use without any mess, and they dry almost instantly. We used them for a school project and the colors stayed bright without smudging. Finally, a paint option that doesn't require a gallon of water to clean up.

My toddler painted a whole jungle scene and there wasn't a drop of water or a spilled cup involved. The fast dry time is a lifesaver, and they really do twist up smoothly in the tube.
