The cardstock is way sturdier than I expected for something meant to be decorated. I set these out at my kid's birthday party and the Venetian-style ones got painted and glittered for a solid hour without buckling.

Bought these for a Shakespeare unit with my eighth graders and they held up way better than the flimsy ones I've tried before. The Venetian and Elizabethan shapes gave the kids plenty of variety to pick from, and the blank surfaces took markers and glitter glue without warping.
