Yahtzee

The game night flow is perfect when everyone already knows the rules—we got through three rounds before the kids' bedtime. The dice feel weighty and roll evenly, which makes those tense final rolls for a Yahtzee all the more satisfying.

The dice cup and score pads have held up through a dozen game nights already, and that satisfying clatter when you shake for a Yahtzee never gets old. My kids fight over who gets to keep score, which says a lot for a game that's been around since before I was born.

We pulled this out during a rainy afternoon and the whole family got hooked for hours. The dice roll smoothly and the score pads are laid out just like I remember from playing as a kid.
